Bismarck – The holiday season is also known as the season of giving.
But while many of you are out purchasing gifts to give to others.
Most people forget about those who really need it.
This time of the year can be especially tough on charitable organizations that rely heavily on your generosity for funding.
Many people simply get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holidays and forget to make a donation to charity.
One of those organizations is the American Red Cross, which tells us, they assist more people than you might think.
“In 2018, we’ve responded to 73-thousand single family fires in the United State, that’s a lot of people that we’ve engaged and that we’ve helped. So, every eight seconds we are responding to a fire in the United States, so that’s where that money goes.” Said Rob Stotz with the American Red Cross in Bismarck.
He adds 91-cents of every dollar donated goes toward helping others in their time of need.
