From the KX News Storm Center:
Across the state today, we have been seeing a mixture of sunshine and cloud cover with a few scattered flurries earlier. A ridge of high pressure is partially affecting the Dakotas, and our attention will be turned to the North. A few weak clipper systems will develop over Canada and move through the Dakotas through the weekend. The good news is that temperatures will top out in the 30s and stay unseasonably warm through Monday. However, expect off/on snow chances during this time. By the beginning of the work week little to no accumulation is expected. In total, we can look for mostly less than 1″. Some areas may possibly receive 1″-3″. Monday night and Tuesday we will see another round for scattered light snow and through the next 4 days (Saturday through Tuesday, winds will be moderate to strong. Areas of drifting/blowing snow will be possible and I would not be surprised if the National Weather Service in Bismarck issues Wind Advisories for some of our area. Tuesday and through the end of the work week, we will see a mixture of sunshine and cloud cover with temperatures falling back into a chilly range with lows in the single digits and highs in the teens & 20s. Some of our long range models are also hinting at another round of snow chances toward the end of the 7day planner.
Tonight, partly to mostly cloudy skies and a little chilly with increasing cover. Lows in the 20s with a few teens and a NW wind 10-20mph G25. Chills will be in the teens & single digits.
Saturday, expect mostly cloudy skies with a chance for scattered snow. Highs in the 30s with a NW wind 15-25mph G35. 60% chance for snow and most of Western & Central ND can expect <1″ with 1″-3″ possible for some.
Saturday night, off/on snow chances continue before fizzling out with mostly cloudy skies. Lows in the 20s with a NW wind 5-15mph G25.
Sunday, expect continued clearing with temps topping out in a mild range. Highs in the 30s with a few 40s and a West wind 10-20mph.
Sunday night, a little chilly with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Lows in the 20s with a West/NW wind picking up to 10-20mph G30
