Dorrell’s PM Forecast Update Wednesday 11/23

From the KX News Dakota Storm Center:

Today, we have been seeing mostly cloudy skies and it has felt a little chilly with temperatures ranging through the 30s. There is a light wind that has been a little variable at times and will continue to swing around to the Southeast, with no precip showing up on radar.

Through the rest of the evening and tonight, expect some clearing before Midnight. Through the AM hours, expect more clouds and a chance for scattered snow showers. These snow chances will be off/on and continue through most of Thursday, as well. Not everyone will see snow and most of the affected area will see less than 1″ of accumulation. A few isolated areas may see 1-3″ but these light accumulations will not be for everyone. After Thanksgiving, expect clearing skies and a gradually warming trend through the weekend.
Friday, Saturday & Sunday will bring more sunshine with temperatures warming well into the 40s across most of the state. The beginning of the work week will bring another change up. More snow chances are in the forecast for Monday & Tuesday. This will bring an end to our warming trend and temps will fall back into the 30s for highs.

Tonight,  will bring mostly cloudy skies and scattered mix/snow possible, after Midnight. Lows in the 20s with an East/SE wind 2-10mph and chills in the 20s.

Thanksgiving (Thursday), expect mostly cloudy skies with a chance for scattered snow/mix/rain leading to light accumulations for some. Highs in the 30s with a few 40s and an East/SW wind 2-12mph. Chills in the 20s & 30s.

Thursday night will bring clearing skies with a chilly feel. Lows in the 20s with a few teens and a light West/SW wind.

Black Friday, expect plenty of sunshine with a few light clouds. Highs well into the 40s with a West/South wind 2-12mph.

Friday night will bring fair to partly cloudy skies and a chilly feel. Lows in the 20s with a light wind out of the South.
