Call a taxi or a ride sharing service.
That’s what police are saying you do this holiday to avoid a DUI, or worse a fatality.
The Minot Police department says they’ll be increasing DUI enforcement through Thursday. Any amount of alcohol can result in the impairment.
If you are planning on drinking designate a sober driver to get you home.
“They’ll be looking, they’ll be a little more vigilant with what they’re watching out for with traffic issues and that kind of thing, if they come across somebody they’re obviously looking to see if that person is intoxicated,” said Captain John Klug with the Minot Police Department.
Getting a DUI could result in jail time, extensive legal costs and fines.
