Kids at Burlington Elementary wore their pajamas to school this week to raise awareness for a great cause.
385 students showed their support for fifth-grader Nadja Kostek.
Her dad was diagnosed with A-L-S, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease in June 2016.
The school has fundraisers for diabetes and families and need, and Nadja wanted to have one for ALS.
“She’s pretty passionate that she’d like to find a cure for the disease so that no other family has to go through what they’re going through,” said Sue Kranz, Principal Burlington Elementary.
“You can’t do a lot of things with him. he can’t run or grab stuff, but he can still talk. so, I talk to him a lot,” said Kostek.
The school raised $629 for the ALS Foundation.
