Fall clean-up week starts next week in Bismarck

Next week is fall clean-up week in Bismarck. 

From September 24 – 27, residents must set out any items for special pick-up and garbage by 6:00 a.m., on their regular scheduled garbage day. No hazardous waste or liquids will be accepted. 

Here’s the breakdown for having clean-up week items picked up, according to the Bismarck Public Works Department: 

  • A separate truck will pick up the special items set out for collection 

  • All loose materials must be boxed or bagged. 

  • City crews will not pick up construction debris, decks, fences, sod, dirt, rocks, or semi truck or tractor tires. 

  • It is illegal to remove any refuse set out for collection. 

  • Landfill charges will apply when disposing of items at the landfill. 

City crews will not pick up the following: 

  • Construction and Remodeling Debris 

  • Decks 

  • Fences 

  • Sod 

  • Dirt 

  • Rocks 

  • Semi-truck and Tractor Tires
