Fatal crash in Mountrail Co.

A man is dead following an early morning crash on Highway 2 on Tuesday. 

63-year-old Timothy Bartsch was ejected from his vehicle after he lost control of the 1997 Chevy Pickup according to Highway Patrol. 

He was driving west on Hwy 2 from Rugby to Stanley, near mile marker 109 the pickup entered the north ditch, then he reentered the traffic lane. After that the driver lost control and the Chevy rolled onto it’s right side. 

Bartsch was ejected out of the driver side window and was found by a passing motorist. He was transported to Trinity Hospital by Berthold Ambulance where he was pronounced dead.
