A fatal highway crash in October has led to charges of negligent homicide against the driver of a semi.
Douglas Landis was behind the wheel of a truck that, according to the Highway Patrol, crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a pickup truck on a snowy Highway 23 near New Town.
Both people in the pickup, Taylor Denny and David Wilcox, were killed in the crash.
Today, Landis made his initial appearance in district court on the two, class-c felony charges.
Each carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
