Festival Promotes Four Bears Peninsula

The MHA Nation is hoping to make the Four Bears Peninsula a tourist destination.

Already, the Four Bears Casino sits on that piece of land.
But the tribes have been adding to it with things like a brand new water park that opened in August, a new beach area, and more events.

One such event is going on today – the Fall Festival.

(Mark Fox, MHA Tribal Chairman) “It’s a chance to have some really good food, listen to music, we have activities going on, we have a horseshoe contest, we have bingo inside, and it’s open to the public. Anybody can participate and get some really good food. But really to kick off our celebration of the Four Bears Peninsula as a destination resort.”

The Fall Festival includes a concert by George Thorogood and the Destroyers tonight.
That concert is at 8:00 at the Four Bears Event Center.
And the festival ends tomorrow with a fishing derby on Lake Sakakawea.
