Killdeer Police say they received a call late Saturday for a diabetic medical emergency at The Pipe Bar. Police tell us they man in question was not a medical concern, but instead, inebriated. A separate individual then gave the man a ride from the bar. The man gave the driver the incorrect address.

Police say the man banged on a Killdeer residence door, that was not his home. An elderly couple told the man to leave repeatedly. The husband of the home went inside, grabbed his gun, went back outside, and discharged his firearm in an attempt to get the man to leave.

The man fled the residence, but left behind his wallet. Police were notified of the incident. The man was later found, and arrested for criminal trespass. He is currently being held at Southwest Corrections on a $300 bond.

It will be up to the Dunn County States Attorney as to whether or not the elderly couple will be charged for firing a weapon within city limits.
