The list of men and women in the North Dakota Firefighters Hall of Fame is growing this week.
The Firefighters Hall of Fame is part of the North Dakota Firefighters Museum in Garrison.
The museum is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a roster of three firefighters to add to the wall of fame inside the museum.
Joining the hall are State Fire Marshall Ray Lambert, Gary Troftgruben of Harvey, and Mike Matteson of Garrison, the founder of the firefighters museum.
(McKaila Matteson, ND Firefighters Museum Director) “It’s amazing to see some of the firefighters that truly need to be recognized for their volunteer efforts whether it’s for the local departments or throughout the state.”
The three will be inducted at ceremonies this Saturday in Garrison.
Meanwhile, the Firefighters Museum continues to look for ways to grow.
(McKaila Matteson, ND Firefighters Museum Director) “We’re continually getting new memoribilia and artifacts to have displayed here. Our next goal is to create a children’s museum upstairs where we will have a safe house display and an interactive display that will teach more fire prevention.”
Again, here are the three men who will be inducted into the North Dakota Firefighters Hall of Fame this Saturday in Garrison.
