As National Fire Prevention Week draws to a close, local firefighters were recognized for their service.
Prior to the ceremony, people were invited to the North Dakota Firefighters Museum to check out the retired firefighter paraphernalia. Guests paid their respects at the Fallen Firefighters Memorial, a creation of one of this year’s Hall of Fame Inductees. Four men were added to the to the list of over thirty firefighters who have made an impact in their communities.
“We pretty much attend every year. It’s something that we really enjoy to do because we’re very supportive of the firefighters in North Dakota.” said Ginnie Berge, Wife of a Firefighter.
The men’s pictures will be hung within the North Dakota Firefighters Museum to honor their work.
