There’s something for everyone at the Food Truck Festival.
“My favorite part of the event, I would say, are the jumping castles. I think I’ve never seen as many jumping castles in an area. There’s fifteen of them. Along with laser tag.” said Matthew Maldonado, Event Coordinator.
Music you can dance to.
“We also have concerts going all day. Chuck Suchy, that’s playing right now. We’ve got 32 Below, Lexi Wyman, Sons of David, we have a lot coming.” said Maldonado.
And, of course, food trucks from around the state.
“My friend had the chocolate waffle, I don’t know what that tastes like because I don’t really like chocolate. But I loved the grilled cheese waffle, so I recommend getting those.” said Justice Hemmelgarn, Attended Event.
“It’s a nice place to come for everyone, all ages. To go around bounce houses, food, walk around. Just a nice place to go.” said Alex Vecchio, Attended Event.
ND Strong is hoping to bring everyone together with the event.
“August is kind of a -just -you know, your typical back to school month. So we just kind of wanted to make it a little more exciting for the community.” said Maldonado.
The park was filled with foodies enjoying the sunshine.
“It’s pretty awesome. I think the turnout -I’m guessing is more than expected. But it’s just a beautiful day, nice venue for it, a lot of different activities.” said Kevin Moore, Attended Event.
“I’ve lived in, like, small towns all my life, so I’ve never seen something this big. So, I think this where it’s pretty cool.” said Hemmelgarn.
Everyone I spoke to said that they were already looking forward to attending this event again in the future.
Because this was the first Food Truck Festival in Minot, ND Strong is looking for feedback from the community to make next year even better.
