First Day of Bismarck Public Pools

Kids in Bismarck have a reason to rejoice today. It’s the opening day of all outdoor public pools.

Management of Hillside says the crowds were big and they were nearing capacity. People are taking full advantage of the slides, rock wall, and water playground. Other pools opening their doors today include Wachter and Elks Aquatic Centers. There is a small admission fee, but the kids say it’s well worth it.

“I’ve been coming here since second grade and I’ve been coming here every day just from last year. So, perfect way to start off the season by starting it off with a hot day meeting up with your friends,” said 8h grader Jakob Weippert.

Pool Hours vary throughout the week. They’re open noon to 4pm Monday through Thursday and noon to 7pm on the weekends. And season swim patches are available for purchase.
