Kindergartners from Bishop Ryan played a little hooky today – with fish hooks.
They headed out to the Game and Fish pond at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds to spend some time fishing with their fathers – or in some cases mothers or grandparents.
The kids all got to hold the fishing pole and wait for the bobber to dive into the water.
Then, it was time to pull up their catch.
“A little bit scary.”
“Why?”
“Just a little bit because he has a really wide mouth.”
“He’s giving you a look.”
“I think you gotta kiss him.”
“Nah, there’s no fish-kissing here.”
“I gotta see that!”
Kids at Ryan have one week of school remaining for the year.
