Flood warnings issued for rivers near Williston, Manning

The National Weather Service has issued flood warnings for the Missouri River near Williston and the Knife River near Manning.

The Missouri River near Williston is under a flood warning until further notice. At noon today, the river was around 21 feet. Minor flood stage is at 22 feet. It is expected to reach 23 feet by Sunday morning. At 24 feet, it will impact oil well locations and wildlife management areas. The city of Williston is not impacted.

Increased runoff from snowmelt has led to a rise in the Knife River near Manning, also prompting a flood warning. The river is expected to reach minor flood stage this afternoon. This may lead to flooded roads. Hazen will be impacted later today as the flooding pushes downstream.
