It’s that time of year when doctors recommend you get your flu shot.
Instead of making an appointment to get the shot – some doctors will come to you.
First District Health Unit in Minot travels to sixty to seventy work sites in the fall giving people their flu shots.
The Immunization Coordinator, Lacey McNichols says that the flu is very common in the fall and winter and the shot is your best chance of keeping yourself safe from the virus.
McNichols adds that there’s usually a few new patients each year.
“People don’t have to be taking time off work to go get their flu shot and it’s just convienent for everybody just to take a few minutes from their desk and not have to make an appointment somewhere,” said Lacey McNichols, Immunization Coordinator for First District Health Unit.
Other places that offer this service include Sanford Health Occupational Medicine.
