Former North Dakota Governor George A. Sinner Passes Away


Former North Dakota Governor George Sinner has died.
Sinner  was the state’s 29th governor, serving two terms in the office from 1985 through 1992. 

He was the most recent Democratic-NPL governor in North Dakota.
He passed away today at the Eventide Fargo senior living facility. 
Services have yet to be announced.

George Sinner was born in Fargo and raised in Casselton. 
In 1950 Sinner received a degree in philosophy from St. John’s University in Minnesota.
George Sinner was 89.

Governor Doug Burgum issued a statement saying, “North Dakota lost a great leader and a great man today.”
