A former wells county sheriff was arrested today. Johnny Lawson was taken in to Stutsman County Correctional Center and charged with conspiracy to deliver meth, bribery, lying to a law enforcement official, neglect of duty by a public official, and ingestion of meth.
Lawson resigned as sheriff of Wells county just a month ago, stating the move was for personal reasons.
