Friday’s PM Forecast Update 5/5

From the KX Storm Center:

Today, temps are well above average and climbed to either side of 80, after Noon. Warm temps with plenty of sunshine will remain our weather theme through the next few days. Though temps are well above average (avg: 60s/30s) we are not getting anywhere close to breaking records. This puts in a range that we can call pleasantly warm. It will be perfect for any outdoor activities all weekend. The only bad side will be winds. It will become breezy with winds gusting at 25-35mph for parts of the state, Western ND (Saturday) Central & Eastern ND (Sunday).
Our weekend warm-up will be interrupted with rain chances Sunday night through the beginning of the work week.
Next week, more clouds & off/on rain (highest chances on Monday) will lead to temps falling back through the 70s. By the time sunshine resumes, temps will be near average for this time of the year and back into the 60s. This will be Wednesday- Friday of next week. The best chance for rain will be Sunday night through Monday night/Tuesday. Though thunderstorms are in the forecast, there is no risk for severe weather at this time.
Tonight, mostly clear and a little cool. Lows in the 40s with a few 50s and a light wind out of the Northeast, 2-10mph. Winds will start to pick up after Midnight, 5-15mph G20.
Saturday, sunny & warm with winds picking up and becoming strong for some. Highs in the 70s & 80s with an E/SE wind 10-20mph G30 (15-25mph G35 West).
Saturday night, mostly clear and still breezy. Lows near 50 with a SE wind 5-15mph G20.
Sunday, another round of sunshine & warm temps with more clouds rolling in late. Highs in the lower to mid 80s & 70s East with a SE wind 15-25mph G35.
Sunday night, mostly clear to partly cloudy with more clouds rolling in & rain chances after Midnight. Lows in the 50s with a SE wind 5-15mph G20. 20% chance of rain.
