Four out of every five consumers use search engines to find businesses and local information according to Google’s Get Your Business Online program.
But, it adds that only 37% businesses have themselves listed on a search engine, like Google.
So, people are learning how to get themselves to pop up when a consumer searches their business.
Dave Meyer has two tips that he encourages all business owners to follow.
First, make sure that you’re website is easily accessible on a mobile device.
Second, cater your website to the consumer and don’t make it about yourself.
“It’s really important for businesses to be able to be on Google because it’s free leg up against their competition and it’s a great way to connect and to grow your business without spending a lot of money,” said Dave Meyer, Speaker.
