Gov. Burgum weighs in on recreational marijuana

Bismarck, ND – Governor Doug Burgum says he is against the “full, unfettered legalization of recreational marijuana.”
 
After the legalization of recreational marijuana was added to the November ballot, KX News reached out to Governor Doug Burgum for his reaction. The governor says he would like to see the federal government move toward decriminalizing marijuana so that states have regulate it how they see fit.
 
He told us, “I encourage voters to educate themselves on the specific wording and far-reaching implications of all ballot measures. My personal stance against full, unfettered legalization of recreational marijuana has not changed.”
