The North Dakota League of Cities has named Harvey, it’s small city of the year.

Every year the award is given out to a city that shows quality, number, and progressiveness of activities undertaken in the community.

Recently, the city has put a main focus on economic development.

They’ve also worked to grow it’s education system and childcare, clinical system, and build new recreational areas.

“I believe that when we need to improve the area and the city itself, people come together and as a team we have united,” said Mike Zwicker, Harvey Resident.

“Harvey is a small town but it’s big enough to take care of the needs of our people,” said Jason Schneider, Harvey Resident.

Harvey has a population of about eighteen hundred people.
