After two years, Heaven’s Helpers Soup Cafe is now open.
City Inspections made it unclear whether or not the cafe would open its doors.
But director Mark Meier says a few miracles made it possible.
Businesses, and local churches have all volunteered to pitch in with food and donations.
And now, the cafe will be serving soups, sandwiches and desert to the public.
The Soup Café is open to anyone in the community and your free will donations will go to help someone who cannot afford to pay for their meal.
“It’s kind of a relief off my shoulders, but yet, it’s already crazy busy, so it’s just a new challenge,” Mark Meier, director, Heaven’s Helper’s Soup Cafe says.
“This is such an important ministry in our community that it’s important that we show up and we support,” Chief Dan Donlin, Bismarck Police Department says.
Heaven’s Helpers can serve up to 49 people and will be open 11 to 7, Monday through Friday, and Saturday’s 11 to 5.
