At 2:30 p.m. the man surrendered to police. He was arrested for terrorizing.
Update: 2:10 p.m.
At 6 a.m. Saturday, a call was made to Napoleon law enforcement stating a man was threatening suicide.
Shortly thereafter, law enforcement responded to the man’s home. The man barricaded himself inside his home and threatened officers. Logan County Emergency Management says the man does have a gun, and at this time, it is believed that no one else in the home with him. SWAT is on the scene as crisis negotiators are at work. A 2-block perimeter surrounding the man’s home is blocked off.
Logan County Emergency Management says the man’s girlfriend alerted police to the situation. They tell us the two were talking on the phone when he began threatening suicide. The girlfriend then called the police.
The man has had incidents with law enforcement in the past.
Authorities in Napoleon, N.D. are responding to an ongoing, active situation involving a man barricaded in a house.
