Bismarck police say there is a 20-year-old man who has barricaded himself inside a home in NorthEast Bismarck.

Police tell us the man was being investigated for Domestic Aggravated Assault and Terrorizing in Mandan. The man then fled officers and led them on a pursuit from Mandan into Bismarck. The pursuit began at 1:15 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

At 2:50 p.m. the man barricaded himself inside a home on the 2700 block of Lexington Drive. Police say the man is known to be armed, and that West Dakota SWAT and Negotiations are currently attempting to negotiate with the man.

Earlier this afternoon, a reverse 911 call was issued, telling residents in the area to stay inside and lock their doors.

Bismarck Police say they have set up a perimeter and are telling residents to take shelter or evacuate the area.
