The Dickinson Public School District is hiring.
So far the school district has filled 64 positions for certified teachers and administrators, including a new superintendent.
They are still looking to hire about 25 more people for positions ranging from elementary teachers to custodians.
The reason for the staffing shortage is relocation, retirement, and the reopening of Berg Elementary.
Cyndee Egeness, human resources for Dickinson Public Schools, said it has been difficult finding local people to fill the positions.
“With a small town like Dickinson we have had to venture out on different avenues in order to attract other candidates in order to apply for our teaching positions”.
The first day of school for Dickinson Public Schools is August 22.
