A high school art teacher presents Japanese art to her students.

Students at South Central High School in Bismarck shared the beauty of the Japanese culture by hosting a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony.

High Schoolers showcased their artwork on their kimonos and samurai jackets.

Art Teacher, Rebecca Sletten says her trip to Japan inspired her to educate her students in the form of art, culture, and more exposure.

” It’s important for them to see what other cultures do and it’s beneficial to them because it helps them understand people better and I think it is so important nowadays kids have an understanding of each other,” said  Rebecca Young Sletten, Art Teacher.

Sletten says she hopes to continue this in future projects.
