High water levels to clash with high wind levels during storms

Severe weather could clash tonight with high water levels along the Missouri River and Lake Sakakawea.
The KX Storm Team has the region in severe weather aware mode as the state prepares for severe weather tonight.

High winds are expected as a part of these dangerous storms.
Waves could reach 1 to 3 feet according to a hydrologist with the National Weather Service in Bismarck during the peak of these storms.

Water levels remains high along the Missouri River at 13.16 feet in Bismarck.
On Lake Sakakawea the water is also high, both the Lake and River are currently experiencing soil erosion due to high water levels.
