The Souris Valley United Way’s 2016 Campaign is in full swing.
The campaign kicked off today with a Hole in One contest at the Minot Country Club.
Farmers Union Insurance is hosting the $100,000 Hole in One today through Thursday.
Each contestant donates ten dollars to the United Way, in exchange for five balls to hit into the target area.
Hit the target area and qualify for Thursday’s final Hole in One round to win the cash prize.
(Josh Ressler/Farmers Union Insurance) “It’s time for the annual kick off for the United Way, we know their goal this year is to raise a million dollars. We’re hoping to raise as much as possible over the next few days, and to give that a good little boost.”
(Brenda Foster/Souris Valley United Way Campaign Chair) “We felt that a million dollars is a great goal again this year because the needs are still there. Our community continues to grow and change and we would really like to raise that dollar amount so that we can continue to help the people that live in our community.”
The Souris Valley United Way gives to organizations like backpack buddies, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, and domestic violence groups.
