Back to school is cool, but then, so is fun in the sun.
Most schools are back in session by the end of the week, kids are savoring the last few days of summer.
Temperatures hovered around 95 today in the Magic City, which made it a fine time to cool off at the Radio City Splashpad.
(Laurie, South Prairie 4th Grader) “It’s fun playing and round through the park and the water.”
(Chase, John Hoeven Kindergartener) “Because it’s hot and stuff.”
(Jennifer Kleen, KX News) “Are you sad to be going back to school? Are you excited? How do you feel?”
(Laurie, South Prairie 4th Grader) “I’m excited.”
(Chase, John Hoeven Kindergartener) “I’m looking forward to learning.”
There will be plenty of time for ‘learning.’
In the meantime, on these hot days before school starts, the Roosevelt Pool is closed and the Oak Park
Splashpad is down for maintenance, but the Radio City Splashpad is up and running.
You can find it in southeast Minot near the new John Hoeven Elementary School.
