The Dickinson baseball team lost for the second time in 20 games on May 5 against Century at Municipal Ballpark.
Century and Dickinson were the top two teams in the Western Dakota Association entering the game.
The Midgets jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after one.
Century responded with two runs in the bottom of the second inning to take 2-1 lead. The Patriots won Game 1 5-2. Dickinson took the second game 6-1.
After the split, Dickinson’s record stands at 18-2, still tops in the WDA. Their next game is May 9 at home against Jamestown.
Century’s record is 14-6, second in the WDA and one game ahead of Minot for third place. The Patriots take the field again on May 9 against in-city rival Bismarck.
