Heart River finished in the top five in the Class B boys’ and girls’ state golf tournament on May 31.
On the boys’ side, the Cougars placed second. Joey Wagner was the top performer, he shot +12. Wagner came in second on the individual side.
Trace Jacobson was one spot below his teammate in fourth. For the tournament, he finished tied for the third at +13.
On the girls’ side, Heart River shot +203. Hazen finished in fourth at +214.
Katie Keator shot 19 over par on the final day of the tournament. Keator’s combined score was +34.
The boys’ tournament was held at Prairie West Golf Course in Mandan.
The girls’ tournament was held at Tom O’Leary Golf Course in Bismarck.
