Bismarck is getting a brand new school. The elementary aims to have a new way of teaching.
It’s called the Innovation School and it had it’s ribbon cutting this morning. The house-turned-school building can have 36 K through 12 students in one year and is slated to start early September. It’s not at capacity, so there’s still room for new students. Maggie Barth, the director of the school, says the 3 teachers on staff will have more lee-way with how their classrooms operate.
You bring your knowledge that you already have and then we can build upon that. So, the different experiences that our kids, our students have that they’re bringing in with us, we can all learn from those experiences too and build upon those,” said Barth.
