Keeping Your Car Safe as the Weather Warms

Just as rummage sale season has started up, so has car rummaging season.

KX News has been watching the next door app closely.

We noticed an abundance of car break-ins since the weather has turned nicer.

Police say– there are some simple things that can help keep your car safe.

They say, first of all, make sure your vehicle is always locked and, hide or bring in all your valuables with you.

It’s also best to park in well-lit areas.

One man told us… his car has been broken into twice this spring.

“This is something where I lose my peace of mind for sure just because you think you’re living in a safe neighborhood then you find out you’re not,” said Connor Hanson, a victim of car break-ins.

If your car gets broken into you, call your local law enforcement to report it, because being able to create a pattern between cases may help solve them.
