Just when many of us thought that spring was finally here, the weather took us for a surprise.
Alexus Arthur is live in Minot to talk about what it’s like to winter at the end of April.
Right now it’s not snowing but a few hours ago that was all you could see in the sky.
Although students at Edison Elementary School weren’t all that upset about the change in weather.
Many of them were anxious to see snowflakes and were happy to put back on their snow pants, boots, hats, and mittens.
They also had the chance to build a snowman, make a snowball, and some kids even enjoyed the snow as a mid day snack.
The kids told me why having winter in April is something to be happy about.
“It’s so fun to play in because you can make snowballs.” said Aanika Wilber.
“People are like having fun playing in the snow.” said Greyson Mahamy.
“I like the snow.” said Aaliyah Heizer.
“I think snow is a little bit more fun than summer because sometimes you get to sled.” said Noah Schall.
From what I gathered, many kids won’t be complaining if the snow sticks around for a little while longer.
Reporting live in Minot, I’m Alexus Arthur.
