Kids in Minot Celebrate ‘Noon Year’s Eve’

(Becky Farr, KX News) Those who can’t stay up all night to ring in the new year, got the chance to celebrate in advance.
(nat sound) “Three… two … one! Woo!”
The Magic City Discovery Center held a ‘Noon Year’s Eve’ party with fun experiments and activities for kids of all ages.
Harris/ten-years-old: “I like starting the new year and getting to do new stuff for the new year and it’s just really fun to have a party with everybody cause they’re all happy.”
Kids – and parents – celebrated the new year as 500 balloons fell from above as everyone cheered in excitement for 2017.
These two siblings, Dalton and Harris, are new to Minot and have big plans for next year.
Harris: “I want to learn to ski and play hockey.”
Dalton/nine-years-old: “I want to sail on the big lake, which I think I’m going to do this summer.”
‘Noon Year’s Eve’ was nothing short of big celebrations.
Harris: “I just want to say it’s been a great time here and it’s really fun.”
(nat sound) “Happy New Year!”
The Magic City Discovery Center is looking for feedback from parents to make plans for a permanent location for the children’s museum — to take part in that survey, click here.
