There are people who fight fires and stop crime in our communities.

Elementary students are recognizing these people and are doing their part to show their appreciation.
Kids made gift bags filled with lots of candies for all the first responders.

To thank the kids, firefighters let the kids see their equipment up close, answer any questions, and even let them see the firetruck.

A few students tell us why it’s important to give back.

“Because they serve our country.” said Dylan Bjornstad, 4th Grader.

“They work hard everyday and their risking their life for people who are in fires.” said Haylee Raab, 4th Grader.

“They go out and save people’s lives and like stop fires.” said Quinn Wilk, 4th Grader.

Every police officer and firefighter will receive an appreciation bag.
