The weather was much improved this weekend, but the late start to Spring still has some businesses struggling.
Many landscapers haven’t started working yet.
They are about 3 weeks behind schedule.
And the list of jobs needed to get done just keeps growing.
One business owner says– it’s difficult because homeowners want to know when their projects are going to start.
Since hardly any landscapers are out– many are spending their time getting equipment ready.
Jeremy Lasher, Landscaper, says, “Basically we try to get a lot of maintenance done in the off season, but there’s always stuff that comes up no matter what you do. You think you have your equipment in top shape and you fire it up for the first time and a lot of stuff is bound not to start or not run quit right.”
Lasher says he did drill a hole in the ground and was surprised to find—the ground was thawed.
That’s good news– since he can now start sooner than he expected.
