The Bismarck Larks suffered their first loss in franchise history on June 1 at Municipal Ballpark.
Bismarck jumped out to a 2-0 lead over the Eau Claire Express through the first two winnings. However, they were outscored 8-1 over the final seven. The score at the end of the game was 8-3 Eau Claire.
Luke Waldek hit an RBI double to send the Larks’ second run to the plate in the bottom of second and build a 2-0 lead.
The loss splits the series with Eau Claire.
Next, the Larks stay at home to host the Thunder Bay Border Cats for a two game series starting June 1. First pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
Currently, Bismarck’s record is 1-1.
