The Bismarck Larks snapped a three-game losing streak on June 5 with a win over the La Crosse Loggers at Municipal Ballpark.
Bismarck took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the third, but failed to produce an additional runs as they left the bases loaded.
In the bottom of the fourth with the game tied, the Larks benefited from La Crosse’s poor defensive play. With runners on first and second and no outs, Bismarck laid down a bunt, but the Loggers threw the ball away trying to record the out at first. Both runners on base scored to give Bismarck 4-2 lead they would not relinquish.
Bismarck won the game 9-3.
The Larks conclude the two-game series June 6 with the first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
