The Bismarck Larks rebounded from last night’s loss with a 6-3 home win over the Rochester Honkers.
Things were scoreless in the second until Luke Horanski doubled off the wall in left to score Noah Sadler. That gave the Larks a 1-0 lead.
Later in the inning with Horanski on third, Jeff Mayes hit a fly ball to right that would be deep enough for Horanski to score and increase the lead to two.
The Larks flashed the glove as well in the early stages. In the third, Rochester tried a drag bunt down the line, but third baseman Ashton Roy pounced quickly to record the out in time.
The game remained close the rest of the way, but the Larks eventually pulled away with the 6-3 win. Game three of the series starts tomorrow at 6:05 p.m.
