The Bismarck Larks suffered their first shutout loss in franchise history on June 19 at Municipal Ballpark against the St. Cloud Rox.
The game did not start off well for the home team. In the top of the first with two outs, Larks failed to make a routine play and the first Rox run scored.
In the top of the fourth, St. Cloud manufactured their second run. They bunted over a runner with one out, then hit a chopper over the pitcher’s head for their second run of the night.
Bismarck fell 4-0.
Tomorrow is an early day for the Larks. At 11:05 a.m., they’ll travel to salvage a split with St. Cloud.
Bismarck’s record drops below .500, at 10-11.
