Law Enforcement Investigating Williston Shooting

Update: The Williams County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at an apartment complex along Highway 85 in connection with the shooting. Inside a residence at the complex, Jonah Hendricks, a person of interest in the shooting, was found deceased. It is believed Hendricks died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The body of Hendricks was transported to the ND Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. 
 
Update: An unidentified injured male has been located by law enforcement and transported to CHI St. Alexius Medical Center. The injured male has a suspected gunshot wound to his leg. It is not immediately clear why the male did not initially seek medical treatment. Police are still looking for Jonah Hendricks, a person of interest in the shooting. 
 
Original story: For the second time in less than a week, police are investigating a shooting in Williston. 
 
The shooting took place around 4:30 this morning. Around that time. police received a call regarding a driver injured from a suspected gunshot wound.
 
An unidentified female was transported to a local hospital with what is believed to be a non-life threatening gunshot wound. She was later airlifted to a second facility for further medical treatment.
 
There were two other occupants in the vehicle at the time of the shooting. 
 
As of this morning, police were looking for Jonah Hendricks, a person of interest in the case.
 
It is unknown at this time if Hendricks has been located by law enforcement. 
 
One long-time resident described the area being searched by law enforcement as a quiet neighborhood. He said two shootings in less than a week in Williston was almost enough to make you pack up and move.
