Legion: Governors sweep Keybirds

The Bismarck Governors earned two important conference victories Tuesday at Municipal via a sweep of the Williston Keybirds.

The first game was a pitchers’ duel into the sixth inning. At that point, the Governors had just a 1-0 lead, but Cole Parisien sparked an offensive rally with a base hit to left center that scored two runs. Jakob Olson added an RBI double in the frame to make it 4-0.

Bismarck pitcher Matt Guenther took it the rest of the way, retiring the Keybirds in order in the seventh to cap off a two-hitter and 4-0 win.

Bismarck took the second game 8-2. The team is back in action Wednesday against Pierre.
