Legion: Miller tosses no hitter, Chiefs win for third time in July


Paxton Miller hurled a no-hitter in Game two between the Bismarck Reps and the Hettinger Bears.

In the second game, the Reps were the visitors because both games counted toward the statewide standings. Bismarck got on the board four times in the top of the first.

The Reps have won five in a row, including their three wins in the Capital City Tournament.

Bismarck won the first game, 12-3. They took Game 2, 16-0.

The Mandan Chiefs earn their third win of July in Game 2 against the Williston Keybirds.

In the first game, the Chiefs never quit. Despite trailing 17-0, the scratched a run. However, they fell in five innings, 17-1.

In the Game 2, they carried their late momentum from Game 1 to a Game 2 win. They defeated the Keybirds 4-1.
