Lincoln’s mayor made a pretty big splash in honor of the town’s Birthday.
You only turn 40 once, so for the big day, the entire Lincoln community came out to celebrate.
They came together for a parade in honor of their small town and ate together at a cook out.
But the mayor outdid them all by taking the plunge in a dunk tank.
Everyone lined up for a chance to sink their mayor for a $2.00 fee and a good cause.
“This is a great city; this is a great community. The citizens out here are awesome; I couldn’t ask for a better city to represent,” Lincoln Mayor Gerald Ward says.
The mayor was dunked on the first try. All of the proceeds from the dunking go back to the town in support of their traditional “Lincoln Days” celebration.
