Lip Sync Battle for the Park District

You don’t have to be able to sing the right notes to raise money in this fundraiser. The Stanley Park District held a Lip Sync Battle to bring in money for their daily operations and current projects.

Participants chose their favorite song to rock out to and entertain the crowd. Some even went as far as to get into character for the artist they were lip syncing as.

The Stanley Rec Director says this is the second year the event has been held and it was highly requested for another go around.

“When we were little kids, my parents used to do this, like, all the time. And we thought, ‘what a great idea to bring this into Stanley and just kind of raise funds and also just have people out and — for something to do in a small community,” says Cassie Fjeldahl, Stanley Rec Director.

Fjeldahl says that her favorite part was getting to see everyone letting loose and having some fun.
