For some, hosting a party can take all the fun out of an event and replace it with stress. Many opted to hit the town to enjoy a party with the community instead.
“It’s always more enjoyable to watch a game with people that share the same interests as you, and I know that -you know- even though I’m a Vikings fan, I have a kind of a vested interest in this game and it’s just -it’s a lot more fun when you do it with friends,” says Mark Rylander, Vikings Fan.
The Staff of Finishline Burgers & Brew have spent a month preparing for game day.
“Food. You got to have plenty of food. You got to have plenty of drinks. Depending on-well the biggest thing is just creating the event and getting it out,” says Clint Hudkins, Owner of Finish Line Burgers & Brew.
To celebrate the two teams playing in the Big Game, Hudkins has added a couple items to the menu.
“We did a Philly Cheese Steak Fries today. And we also have chips, dip. We have some special cheese dip that some of the other people are bringing in,” says Hudkins.
Each time, the fries are cut fresh, then tossed into a deep fryer. The cook has spent much of the day preparing the steak to add to each order.
As a Carson Wentz supporter, once I heard there were Philly Cheese Steak Fries in support of the Eagles -of course- I had to try some for myself.
Throughout the night, the patrons played Football trivia and placed prop bets to try and predict what might happen.
“The reward is when people come in and you see them having fun and forgetting about daily life,” says Hudkins.
You can try their Philly Cheese Steak Fries for yourself at Finishline Burgers & Brew.
