Areas closed by Roosevelt Creek fire in western ND have now been reopened

According to the U.S. Forest Service, the closure order for the Roosevelt Creek fire has been lifted.

“All areas, trails and campgrounds affected by the fire are open to the public,” the service notes on its website.

Fire crews had been battling the stubborn blaze since April 28. The wildfire ultimately burned over 4,600 acres before it was brought under control.
